i saw King Kong in the cinema it is better than the remake

Thr original King Kong is far superior to any remake, i saw it where its meant to be seen , on a cinema screen. There is a magic with the black and white that puts smudge weird stuff into your imagination pictures of your brain and it works.

I too saw KK at the cinema.

It was in 1956 at the Windsor Theater on the Northwest side of Chicago.

I was 6 years old.

Many of the kids, when Kong was on screen ducked under their seats.

I know....I was one of them!

Saw it in 1956 at a Saturday afternoon matinee. Theater was packed with kids. Screams filled the theater whenever Kong threatened, especially the scene when he chewed up or stomped the natives of Skull Island to death. We were 9-10 years old and many of us ducked too!

I'm watching it right now on TCM and this movie still is amazing. King Kong the eighth wonder of the world!
