The biggest pretentious hype of a movie

A truly boring movie reached a hype just because audience during that time couldn't differentiate pretentiousness due to the superfluous packing of a technically sound cinematography and accepted the movie as a genius work of art.

It's nothing but 'The English Patient' of that time.

A true failure in screenplay and direction which couldn't create a strong drama and keep the audience glued to the movie except for the tiring journey through the suspense of Rosebud as we watch lame characters and decisions taken by the lead just to establish that it's a story of any human being because nobody is perfect.

So, a style over substance movie which is worth only 6/10 got overrated as an artsy fartsy stuff for simpletons. Smart audience know about it's short comings.

It's a good movie, but yeah, the hype is way out of proportion. There are people who receive the claim that it's the greatest movie ever made and simply repeat it because they aren't good at thinking for themselves, and there are others who don't think it's all that transcendent, but who are afraid to say so because they'll be mobbed by the horde shouting "go watch "Transformers"!" There are certainly a few people who sincerely believe it's the best movie of all time, which really only means it's their favorite movie of all time.
