Hollywood propaganda?

I see a lot of diatribe about Leftist Hollywood propaganda.
This movie strikes me as an obvious comment on mob mentality and following the crowd, letting your emotions take hold and not thinking things through.
To me, the lynch mob represents status quo conservatives who want to punish anyone they don't trust, i.e., the Bad Guys.
Henry Fonda represents Calm and Reason, the conscience of the story, what I consider a positive attribute of the left wing.
So is Ox-Bow propaganda or a reminder to not stampede and listen to our Better Angels?
Does our current conservative movement identify with the Lynch mob?

btw, I went to the Henry Fonda site here on MC, and not a single comment.

HF is a Giant of film.

He didn't finish well, snepts. He took that television series (The Smith Family),,,you can't do that when you're a living legend.

Then ending it with that overweening "On Golden Pond."

Late to the show here. The status quo are fighting to keep their own recognition in place, on top of the existing equilibrium. It wouldn't be a fight if they weren't experiencing losses "Taking back the Republic". It's a cultural war not everyone is saddled into.

Depending on view of change or status quo, it affects policy, although by nature anyone can be a moderate close up. The Daughters of the Confederacy doesn't seem like an extreme organization, despite NAACP and propaganda wanting to put it behind them.
