The Radio Show is much better

The radio show is much shorter and much more scary.

You can't see the horror etched across Leona's face or that really scary shadow coming up the stairs towards the end on any radio. HUH??

That's why I often enjoy listening to radio versions: the pictures are better.

In other words, use your imagination.

I would never watch a movie at all if I had your brilliant imagination! All the money I would save?

Unfortunately, filmmakers and film-goers seem to exhibit much less imagination today than they did in previous eras. We are bombarded constantly with visuals that define images that everyone is supposed to then accept as the only possibility. How boring and regimented is that?

Or, in other words, pi$$ on your sarcasm.

I like this movie because I can see that shadow coming up the stairs, etc.

I like the radio play because I can use my imagination and see it in my mind.

That's why I think that both the radio play and the movie are great.

That's what my husband told me!

You will probably disagree. That's the nature of discussions -- they have two sides.
