Bill Holden is hot with those glasses

I'm not a big Holden fan, but I think he is gorgeous in this movie. Okay, it's not a great thread, but does anyone else find him just divine in Born Yesterday? The glasses are very sexy- he should have always worn them.

And while we're on the topic of Bill Holden, 1950 was a pretty big year for him, wasn't it? Born Yesterday and Sunset Boulevard? That's an amazing contribution to the movies in such a short time.

Yes, there is something sexy about him with those glasses, I agree. He's one of my fav actors from the 50s.

Yes, I agree as well, those glasses gave him that extra something. Very appealing.

I didn't recognize him when I saw this movie the first time. I was kind of shocked to read the credits and find out that, holy *beep* -- Bill Holden was the hot, smart guy with the glasses!

He really had an incredible career -- he keeps showing up in all these movies I like. I remember watching Network way back before I started getting into classic film and thinking that that old guy wasn't so bad (although I preferred Peter Finch for being so melodramatic and absurd...).

Holden was one of those actors with classic leading man looks who could come across as an ordinary guy.

A very fine actor, one of my favorites.

Actually, scored a hat trick in 1950: this film, SUNSET and UNION STATION, an unjustly -ignored film noir.

Bill Holden was always one of the best looking men on screen in the 1940's and 1950's, unfortunately the booze made her prematurely old by the early 1960's.
