What is your favorite part of this movie?

One of my favorite parts is father and daughter sitting in the kitchen the night before the wedding after Spencer Tracy has that awful nightmare. He reassures her, and tells her to just take his arm and it will be OK. It`s a sweet and funny moment. I also love the end, where the parents are dancing.
Anyone out there have a faverite moment?

I just like the middle of the night "snack". That's some sandwich.

If you mean the hilarious parts, imho it would be where Stanley tries on his old cutaway suit and literally forces himself to make it fit even though it's apparent it's too snug for him, only for the back of the suit to rip from the force he exerts in trying to open the stuck parlour doors. I think the same scene was replicated in the remake with sTeve Martin, but Spencer's version was definitely funnier.

From a cynic's point of view, Joan Bennett telling Spencer Tracy "A girl only gets to wear a bride's dress once in her life."

The daughter was played by Elizabeth Taylor who finished up with enough wedding dresses to start her own shop!
