Don't drop just one shoe. What were the reasons in each case?

John Wayne---- Wouldn't have liked the whole premise of the move, surprised he was Offered the role
Gregory Peck---- on the other hand probably liked the premise,,, Sooo if offered must have been busy
He did come out with 2 movies
Charleton Heston --- early in his career to be "offered" anything The Greatist show on Earth came out the same year which did a lot for his Career and might have been signed to it -- No time
Monty Cliff????? Who thinks Monty Cliff and Western in the same thought??? Doubt he was offered
Marlon Brando ---- Did Viva Zapata the same year, here again who asked 1st and think about it -- I don't think he liked Westerns He has only done 4

reply

Yep, sounds about right.

Peck starred in The Gunfighter, which came out in 1950, and thought it was the definitive western so he passed on High Noon.
