Oh, you have got to see a movie from 1951 called "Slaughter Trail".
The song, 'Hoofbeat Serenade' pervades the whole movie, telling the whole plot right from the beginning credits to the ending. It takes the concept of opening, closing and explaining scenes to the extreme. There is a verse explaining each and every scene in the movie.
The chorus, which is repeated about 50 times or more throughout the movie, goes:
"You could only hear the sound
Of the hoofbeats on the ground
And the wheels as they went 'round
On Slaughter trail."
So how do I remember that? Well, if you ever see the movie you will find that the song, especially the chorus, just sticks in you mind.....forever.....whether you like the song or not.
Personally, I find it fun and catchy. But an Academy Award winner it ain't!
