One of Hitch's Worst.
What a piece of junk!
DAMM: Drunks Against Mad Mothers
Disagree. Just re-watched it after probably a decade or so, and never enjoyed it more. Brilliant dialogue, Grace Kelly proving once more that she was the most beautiful woman on screen EVER (rivalled only by -- maybe -- Audrey Hepburn), perfect location, lovely cinematography...
Nothing to dislike. Not my favourite Hitchcock and certainly not my favourite movie, but complete enjoyment.

Names is for tombstones, baby!
I just finished this and I must say that I'm disappointed. The romance between Kelly and Grant to me was completely filler material and towards the end as I was expecting some thriller-esque twist (which usually happens in Hitchcock movies), it was predictable and boring.
shareI agree. I was thinking (or perhaps hoping) that Grace Kelly was the thief, because otherwise the ending would be so predictable and her character so utterly useless.
shareSurely that dubious distinction belongs to Family Plot or Frenzy. This easily excels over and above those two, but of course it doesn't come close to the greatness of Rear Window or North By Northwest.
shareI don't agree. I think it is a very enjoyable film. One of my favourites.
shareStick with it Louise . . .it's one of Hitchcock's best! Sadly, most people don't really know what's it all about . . . just enjoy . . .
shareIs it about something other than a husband hunter and cat burglar?
Genuinely curious. I liked it. Didn't love it as I'm not big on heist movies or romances but it was fun enough. I liked the mother and the scenery as well as some of the nighttime shots.
This may not be in the vain of Psycho, but its still light fun and entertaining. Vertigo is not one of his worst. Its very good one.
