was it just me or did Gidget goes to ROme really suck? I loved the first movie and i even thought the girl who played the second Gidget was just as good as the first(in her own way of course) but the third one was terrible. Not to mention Moondoogie looked way to old for her and he as a complete moron. If you went to Rome with the man you were engaged to and he was all over your tour guide, would you come back with him? I'd like to challenge any woman who would, that's crazy. Not to mention the ages, in the first movie Gidget was 17 and the second was a year later, ok so she would be 18, then in the third it was a year later too and she was still 18, i am lost.

I'm 18, own all three Gidget movies and liked them all, though Gidget goes to Rome was not the best of the three. I didn't even know that there was a TV show!! Makes sense though considering my mom was like two weeks old when the first movie came out lol.

I also own all three films on DVD, and I enjoyed them all, but the third one is definately the lowest of the trio. But you can always look at the beautiful Italian scenery.

I loved Gidget and Gidget Goes Hawaiian. I even loved "Gidget Grows Up" and "Gidget gets married" was tolerable. But "Gidget goes to Rome", the girl who played Gidget just seemed annoying to me.

I like to pretend Gidget Goes to Rome never happened.

Jeff/ Moondoggie acted like Gidget was second choice for him. And Gidget was just so not Gidget. She seemed like a child.

Maybe Moondoggie is just really flighty because Gidget never looks the same in any of their movies, "Why be nice to this one? They're just going to pair me with different girl again and stick her with the same name, if we do anymore movies." xD

Anyway, I might still watch the movie, just because the sequels are all there is of Gidget aside from the original movie and TV show... Or just keep on as background noise when I'm doing homework or something.

It could be. First she's blonde, then she's a redhead and now she's a strawberry blonde. The poor guy never knows what he's going to get.
