the last thing they say to each other is simply good night

I found that to be heartbreaking. I wanted them to have more to say to each other afterwards, but I guess that's what happens alot in reality, in that situation.

I bet the image of her, the silouette of the house, and the sound of the waves is forever held preciously in his memory. I know it would be for me.

The older I get, the more these kind of movies move me. A lot of us would have had at least a similar experience, a long time ago.

Strangely, the movie made me feel like I lost Dorothy as well, such a sad empty feeling, and in those times, you know that when she left, she was gone forever.

On a side note, it's the music in this movie that adds heavily to the emotional feel, in my opinion.

It is a beautiful story. I liked the music as well. Might have been a bit overdone, but it did remind me somewhat of how the music works in "Somewhere In Time", another of my favorite romance movies.
