I think that's probably what they were going for, but it doesn't really ring true. The movie didn't establish Aveline feeling despondent enough to commit suicide. When she was removing the original copy of the Misery Junction play from the library with the idea of retooling it and putting it on as a performance, she seemed to relish it. Wouldn't playing the now famous murderer Elizabeth Cree on stage each night give her fame?
It's more like a drama about misogyny.
Gosh, what a totally fresh, not overdone topic of late. Pass. Me too! Peyton was awesome, and hella-sexy! Looks like you may be finally getting what you want. https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=34442
The second story was just an excuse to highlight Ms. Karen Black's assets.
That's good enough justification for its existence in my mind. It's a solid nazi-sploitation flick. There's a blu-ray from MVD Visual. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Nathalie-Escape-from-Hell-Blu-ray/265538/ When I started this, I thought I was in store for an actual adult movie (porn), so I got a kick out of seeing George Dzundza in the credits and his picture at the beginning. Turns out its not that at all. For adults, yes, but this isn't even a softcore movie. Nice implant free T&A, though. I agree. I would have really liked some color variation as well. There was ample opportunity to do so. Wish I knew, I thought she was effective too. I'd also like to know who plays the creepy little girl at the beginning that you see here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071396/mediaviewer/rm1504633089/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071396/mediaviewer/rm1521410305/ I didn't think she looked "tough" at all. Black clothes does not equal tough. She looked like a goth wallflower, and her shyness didn't seem the least bit in opposition to her dress. View all replies >
