The score is terrible in this movie

What's it trying to convey??

A lot of it is so upbeat compared to what is happening on screen.

Movie has no suspense

One of my favourite scores ever. I never thought this movie was meant to be suspenseful, it's more like a satire and a drama with zombies. I love scary movies and cool zombie make-up but still this is one of my favourite horror movies even it's not really scary and the zombies are just blue paint.

The score is upbeat for a reason and its a 70s score too, with lots of copyright free music.
The only genuine horror is in the tv station and the apartment building. The rest is a action/horror/satire joy ride.

Movie is awesome. Score is awesome. Fck you. Kthxbye.

CG gore is the worst thing that has ever happened to the horror genre.

Score is amazing. Film is amazing. Point is made by use of music in film.

Don't take this movie too seriously. I hated it the first time i saw it, it felt so cheap and weird and the acting was either bad or mediocre. But then i watched it again and again and again.. 15 minutes later .. and again and you know what ? It's now one of my favourite movies. And the reasons are exactly the same as why i didn't like it the first time around. Because it's so different to the super shiny cgi technical mumbo jumbo movies of today. You can actually see how they made the movie by looking at it. It's so cheap but fun. And the music.. ah.. it's my favourite part of the movie. You will never in a million years hear that kind of movie soundtrack ever again. Dilulilulilulilu dilulilulilulilu Ta ta daa Ta ta daa dilulilulilulilu dilulilulilulilu

This soundtrack is one of my favorites. Certainly not a traditional soundtrack if you're looking for John Williams or Ennio Morrocone but very moody, suspenseful, dischordant and appropriately chaotic on places, using mall musak in parts was a great touch, funny and reminiscent of the time it was made for those who remember the 70s. It fit the movie perfectly. Not what Siskel and Ebert would have swooned over but a great soundtrack or what it was illustrating.

Ebert did swoon over it

Are you kidding me? It's one of the best. Was this posted by that fat "swat" officer that went nuts?

I kind of like that score. The theme that was playing during the opening credits is kind of dark sounding and gives off the feeling that something terrible is happening.
