I dont really have to tell you WHOSE glasses, do I? I mean JESUS - she was probably picking up radio signals on those things, man!

The glasses were bad but so were Dustin's jeans in the first scenes. He wore them as well as he could but they were bad.

I was also freaked out how he and his kid never washed their hands.

Think Bailey in WKRP in Cincinatti- that was the dominant brunette look in the late 70s.

Terrible glasses, agreed.
But that indeed was the style then. My mom had a pair when I was a toddler. The lenses were big as car windshields!

Then came the horrid black frames ala Buddy Holly for older people & slightly thinner ala David Berkowitz.
VERY sadly, the latter are back in fashion right now! They LOOK HORRIBLE on every single person who wears them, yet the people fail to realize this.

