And in the PTA meeting the B*tch has the balls to ask if the kid's gun was loaded ?!?!?! And they argue about it !!? Does it matter !?!?!
That was stupid. Cop did the right thing and a scene should of never been made about the kid (with a troubled and rebelis past) with a gun pointed at a cop should be challenged.

One of the things I like about the movie: It's not all black/white, good/evil. I sympathise with the kids, yet I know they're no angels.

Pointing a gun at a cop is completely voluntary suicide. No one does that without expecting to be killed.

Ironically, Matt Dillon's character met a similar fate in "The Outsiders".
Doberman wasn't a police officer. He wasn't a cop. He was a PIG! He showed little remorse for shooting and killing a young man. At the big meeting he was babbling that Richie was on drugs. Whoop de doo. He smoked some reefer. Stupid pigs have a delusion that weed is identical to heroin. Many cops are alcoholics. But they think that is mother's milk because it is legal. A lot of cops think wearing a badge makes them gods. A lot of suburban cops enjoy harassing easy targets like minorities and teens. It is probably because most cops are impotent. They have zero idea what to do with real criminals. Pigs think they are hot shït on a silver platter, but they are merely cold diarrhea on a paper plate.
