I don't know who rates things but they failed on this movie. This is one rare freaky, suspenseful movie. When she answers the phone screaming LEAVE ME ALONE! and it's the cop calling back that the call is coming from inside the house always gives me chills. I too saw it the first time, like many others, while babysitting lol
shareIt's a great film. Definitely a bit underrated and I'd say it gets too much hate, I've always heard this film had a great opening (and sometimes ending) but the rest is poor/boring/filler. Having seen it now I don't understand the criticism. The only reason the middle would argubaly seem flat is because of how suspenseful and well done the opening was. Had it carried that same level of suspense it would have been a truly outstanding film. As things stand it's a great little film with a superb openining.
Deserves a higher rating.

I just watched this again after seeing it years ago. It deserves a much higher rating. Underrated!
