Best line on the whole series

Dumb cop picks up Rambo’s knife.

COP What do you kill with that?

RAMBO Name it.

They don’t make movies like this today.

reply

Well, not so much a line but when the cop was lying in wait up top the police station, I couldn't help but think, his town isn't so boring now...lol.

reply

Murdoch... (lightening strike) ... I'm coming to get you.

reply

It's over, Johnny. It's OVER!

NOTHING IS OVER! ...NOTHING ! ! !

reply

Yes. That’s good, too.

If you’re a child of the 80s, it’s hard to find any line in First Blood or Roadhouse that is not memorable.

“Pain don’t hurt.”

They don’t make men like they used to.

reply

... or was it "Anything"

reply

No, it was "name it". Turn down the audio and lip read. His response is two syllables not three.

reply

well ....
There was a thread on this back on imdb that was the stuff of legends , went on for years , hundreds of posts ,

in which many avenues were explored . I dont think a consensus was reached

I'll have a go at lip reading later on after work tho

reply

I didn't realize it was such a big deal. I think Sly needs to learn not to mumble...

In any case, put this on quarter speed and you can clearly lip read he's saying "name it".

EDIT: I used youtube's "auto generated" Closed Captioning and it covers the whole scene but avoids captioning that phrase entirely!!!

This was the best line: “I could have killed them all, I could have killed you. In town you’re the law, out here it’s me. Don’t push it, don’t push it or I’ll give you a war you won’t believe. Let it go, let it go”

Yeah that’s really more of a speech than a line but it’s still awesome.
