Sylvester Stallone's work as John Rambo is iconic for many reasons. However, Ryan Gosling would be his pick for a replacement to reboot the series.
I usually don't worry about reboots and remakes but... Why would anyone want a reboot of this? The movie worked perfectly and, if it was less grim than the novel, it was still awful good. The sequels are pretty stupid, but they are perfectly good '80s action flicks.

share"First Blood" is one of the most perfectly made films ever. I don't think that it should be touched. Now, you could have a Rambo-like character come into a film series in a unique way, while still touching on the issues of PTSD and abandoned veterans.
