With that constant screaming, I don't know why their parents even bothered trying to get Carol back.

I know right? They should've laughed derisively shrugged and said "Thems the breaks." You know, like normal kids instead of doing what the script or the director said. Movie probably would've been better received and made more money too.

Rubbish . The kids didn't annoy me .. and I hate kids making noises in real life .. normal everyday situations
