Incredible Filmaking from epic 1982 summer - dumb questions and observations

This is one of my favorite films of all time.
I feel the theatrical version is the best - there are many floating out there.

I have seen this film countless times.

It always bugs me that the thing Spock is fixing in the end is wobbling. Also in the context of the film, what the hell was that supposed to be?

In the film Khan seemingly dies, but what if he became a galactic level threat, with his superhuman ambition and thirst for conquest and revenge and became a huge evil entity
rejuvenated by Genesis? That would have been a better premise for subsequent Trek to revisit.

I think if they brought Khan back it would have diminished the movies. It would have become 'Star Trek and Khan" and not just Star Trek.

Well, God-like Khan, from the Genesis explosion would be way better than the schlock of Into Darkness -wouldn't you say?

reply

Almost anything would be better than Into Darkness.

haha! :)
