You do kinda have a point. If there's only a small stitching together of a story, which this movie has, it can only help if there's something immediate and superficial, like nudity/gore/action, too hook (or trick) the viewer into continuing watching. In "real" movies those things can distract you from the story, but in the case of this 80s B-movie horror flick there was no story to take away from, and could only have helped the viewing experience.

With that being said, this movie is one of those "so bad it's good" gems that you sometimes come across. I didn't drink nearly enough beer for it.

Disagree completely. A horror movie doesnt need tits and ass and gore to be good. And if you didnt notice, there was gore in the flick. There were a bunch of mangled and riped apart bodies and the sweet CHUD beheading.

In no way did I say a horror movie needed T&A and gore to be good. Please read my post again.

and to think this movie DIDN't have Buck Flower, who played a bum in many 80's movies like They Live, Escape From New York,Terminator, ect.

Wow, some people cant appreciate movies without nudity, explosions etc. How do these simple minded people manage a stable enough job to even go see movies?

Yes and it had no CGI FX. It did have gore, actually. The OP may have seen a cut version on tv.

Actually there IS nudity, that is if you own the DVD. It's an easter egg with an alternate version of Kim Griest's shower scene, showing full nudity. From the main menu, select the "Extras" option. Then an angry C.H.U.D. monster will appear. Press your Up button to highlight his glowing eyes and press your Enter button. Here you will find the unabridged version of the shower scene. Enjoy.

Actually the movie showed the C.H.U.D.s leftovers and they were very gory. Like Hugo, the cops and the camera guys, Bosch's wife's head, the dog, and the decapitation of the C.H.U.D. It showed a woman taking a shower. The movie was terrific.
