Something I can't understand

The title in this installment says The Final Chapter. However its far from. A whole bunch of films came afterwards, which are all plot holes. Can anyone explain the plot hole within the title of this movie?

reply

its to get an audience

But why then was part 4 called The Final Chapter? This is a massive plot hole starting with part 5

reply

When it was made there was every intention for it to actually be the final installment.

But you know, money talks and Paramount wanted to keep raking in that cash cow.

Just like why many bands Farewell Tours turn out to be not true.

Thanks for clarifying. I take back my plot hole comment

It's still weird seeing Tommy Jarvis as a grown man one year later after supposedly being a boy!

reply

Nevermind my last comment about taking back that plot hole. Its a plot hole

Apparently, Part 5 is set in 1989 and Tommy is supposed to be 17. Part 4 was set 5 years earlier in 1984, so he was supposed to be 12 in part 4.

Um--this was intended to be F13th's swan song. Unfortunately, it grossed so much in 84 that Paramount had no choice but to keep the franchise going

Money.

Sing it, sister!

Nothing resurrects a villain quite like the sweet sound of a cash register! Cha-Ching!

Like others have said, this was intended to be the last one & the death of Jason. He does “die” at the end of part 4 & he’s still dead in part 5. It’s not until part 6 that Jason is resurrected, & from then on he’s “zombi Jason”.
