Johnny Lawrence had a change of heart at the end

It seems Kreese's tactics were too much even for Johnny. At the end of the match he gave Daniel the trophy, saying "You're all right". This from a kid who was all about beating defenseless opponents and showing no mercy...

no such thing bad student... only bad teacher.. teacher say student do

Even back then he had a good side. Daniel had earned his respect, for overcoming the thuggery of Cobra Kai.

reply

At the end?! He had it at the beginning and Daniel came along and started trouble, trying to show off to another man's woman.

FACT: Good people do not break someone's personal property just for kicks. Prove me wrong.

reply

It wasn't for kicks though.

Really? How so?
Johnny and Ali were finished whether Johnny accepted that or not.

reply

Perhaps Johnny was not to thrilled about this dork outsider penetrating his girl.

reply

Daniel probably didn't penetrate anything until he got married and had his kids from the "Cobra Kai" TV series, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are products of artificial insemination.

Johnny should have been beaten to death by his Cora Kai mates for disgracing the brand and losing to that prick Daniel. Handing the title to Daniel should have been a capital offense for those guys.

All joking aside this must have been highly debated by the writers. How to depict Johnny showing respect for Daniel without it being too sappy and unrealistic. There can't be a bromance between the 2.

Johnny was merciful the first time he beats Daniel up. Obviously having water dumped on him while rolling a joint enraged him to the point where he wanted to beat him to within an inch of his life.
