Why does the chick accuse the Dr of rape?

In very basic english does anyone have a clue!?

Long story short... she got delusional, and under intense questioning, finally said yes to one small lie, then the British authority started to snowball this into bigger and bigger until she couldn't back out of her lie.

This can happen even in today's America. For example, what happened to the Duke's Lacrosse team gang rape. Those poor players, got wrongly accused for gang-rape a black woman... took them through 2 years of hell.

Show me the holes!

When the credits rolled at the end, someone in the audience said, "I'm confused. What happened in the cave?"

I haven't seen it in a long time, so forgive me if I get any of the events wrong. Here's my take: Adela asked Dr. Aziz if he loved his wife just as he was leaving the cave and Adela was staying. He didn't really answer her fully. Adela was angry at the way he treated women and wanted to punish him by making a false rape claim. However, at one point, she didn't have the heart for him to be punished for something he didn't do, so she withdrew everything.

Dr. Aziz is shown putting on mascara at one point; it was normal for Indian men to wear it, I suppose. That's probably where they got the name for Aziza mascara.

It's not mascara, for heaven's sake. It is kohl.
