The Movie Would Be Better..

Without that constant 80's synth music background. Perhaps studios should release special editions of these 80's films with a modern background score. It would make them way less dated

reply

I disagree, that's what I love about 80s movies! It wouldn't be the same without those details. Wouldn't change a thing!!

reply

Yeah I agree. The movies from the 80's are the best. Plus they had everyday "joes" in them. Meaning not Every Single Person was perfect looking. I'll take the 80's movies, and tv shows, any day of the week and twice on Sunday!

reply

I don't recall one character in this movie named Joe

reply

The music is great changing the music would ruin it.

Isn't everything dated, though? Is there such thing as an 80s movie that is "less dated"?

I'm being totally sincere here; I'd really like to know.

reply

No Way Out (1987) is less dated.

reply

Superman 4 The Quest for Peace isn't dated. It still holds up today

reply

That's the ONLY good thing about this thing. I wouldn't call it a movie, though, it's a live-action cartoon where nothing makes sense and which stretches your suspension of disbelief beyond reasonable limits.

reply

I love the score for this movie! I haven't seen it in decades, but I can still recall the wonderful steel-drum-like music they play whenever Schwarzenegger is doing something macho!

Which means the music is memorable, as well as fun.

reply

Exactly, Otter. What a horrid idea. James Horner’s score fits perfectly with this movie.

reply

It makes more sense to put music from the era. It doesn't make sense to exclusively put old music into a new movie.
