in a more realistic movie, yes. In this stylized one, no.

Yes, De Niro’s over the top Capone was a good fit for this film. It had Costner and Connery in it so it needed a drama queen foil of a performance for Capone.

I thought De Niro was great! He's one of my favorite actors of all time.

I'd rather of seen an Al Capone centric film starring Bob Hoskins, and one without Kevin Costner!

BOB HOSKINS WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER...MOST ROLES...DUDE WAS ONE OF THE BEST AND INSANELY UNDERRATED...
