One of my 'most perfect movies in every way'

From the cast to the script to the sets to the directing, a top-notch film that could go into theaters today and not look dated.

I like it, mainly for Connery, but it does have a weird tone to it. On the one hand, you have scenes of gritty violence in it that wouldn't look out of place in one of Scorsese's gangster films - De Niro with the baseball bat, Connery being machine gunned down - on the other, there's scenes where it feels like an old-fashioned John Ford type film, especially with the music at times. It's a little jarring.

I like it but I don't think it's great.
