Did Withnail actually love Marwood?

Did Withnail love Marwood in a homosexual way, or was their love merely a highly intense friendship and kindredness? I'm not in any way adverse to either option.

I only wondered whether there was much significance in the end of the Hamlet speech- "Man delights not me. No, nor women neither. Nor women neither."

What are your opinions?

A film about two young guys living together without any mention of girlfriends or female objects of attraction?

I think there's a good chance both of them were gay, or bisexual, and that Withnail may have been attracted to Marwood. Marwood not into Withnail, though, at least not at the point of their relationship shown in the film.

It is a fact that there are virtually no women in this. I didn't get a homosexual vibe from Withnail and Marwood, but I did wonder what Danny and Presuming Ed were doing in their flat when they returned to London.
