This is the best Jason of the series.

That being said, this has a boring plots, bad acting, and it's a slug to get through. The kills aren't terrible, but they're a step down from #6.

At least it's far better than Jason Takes Manhattan.

Slog*. SLOG to get through

Slugs are invertebrate animals. "Snails" without shells. They are gooey, to be sure, but they are still physically solid and thus one cannot "get through" a slug. However, one CAN get through a SLOG

It was cut and the original version exists no more. For example, the sleeping bag scene originally had Jason smash his victim against the tree six times, I believe.
