I know that part of the fun of these movies is it's campy and stupid, but come on! Could they have picked anyone less Mexican looking??

My point is that it's very clear that he is NOT Mexican. I'm aware that Mexican's can often look something other than Mexican, but that just wasn't the case here. I find it a little offensive that if you throw a bandanna on a guy and have him say he's from East L.A., than BOOM, you're Mexican!

I didn't really think he was supposed to be Mexican, I just thought that one girl said he was when the other one said he was cute. I don't know, it just seemed to me like the line "Hes Mexican." (with a nonverbal DUH) and her kind of snobby giggle was there just to show how much of a class conscious stereotype the rich girl was.
