criminals you've wish didn't get arrested?

The one criminal I wish that didn't get arrested was the episode from Chattanooga (Season 18) where a passenger also gets arrested just for having a marijuana joint after he rode in a stolen truck that broke down after a high speed chase.

The one from Broward County from season 21 where the guy was stopped for cutting the deputy off. The man gets nervous and is shaking throughout the segment. The man admits he's nervous because he was in possession of some weed. The deputy told him if he was honest, he was only getting a ticket. The deputy finds the small amount and tells him he's going to jail. In the end, one of the suspect's classmates arrives as a backup officer. The suspect, despite the nervousness, seemed to be so cool and polite and honest and was living a good life as a nurse. That guy should have just gotten a ticket. I felt very sorry for him.

reply

I totally remember that episode, I was a bit pissed off about the officer lying to the suspect that he'll get off with a ticket if it's a small amount (which it really was) yet he still arrests him, I can see why the suspect was nervous while being approached by a cop.

reply

Yeah, the fact that the deputy lied was the worst part. He usually was a detective catching drug dealers/sellers in the other Broward County episodes.

reply

I also wish the older black man didn't get arrested for having a little bit of crack cocaine that they've found in his shoe along with the lucky dollar, since he was being cooperative I would've liked to see him get off with a ticket, plus the suspect had to take care of his 84 year old father as well, this was from Season 27, Episode 30 middle segment

reply

If you're on american tv they have to pay you.

reply

Another criminal I wish didn't get arrested was a heavyweight middle aged guy who was walking with his luggage late at night, the officers did a traffic stop on him to check on him, the suspect immediately gives a false name to the police, while searching the suspect they found a push rod that cleans out the crack pipe, then they found a little bit of crack cocaine in his possession, I kinda wished they would've just ran the suspect for warrants and then cut him loose if he didn't have any.

This episode was from Atlanta, GA Season 28

I felt sorry for the guy (probably in his 50's or early 60's) who was arrested in a drug buy in Tampa in season 15. He stated that he had a terminal illness and wasn't going to be around for much longer. Even the one officer who arrested him was slightly emotional. He even had his dog with him by his side. I really wish he wasn't arrested.

reply

That was a hard episode for me to watch because of the suspect having a terminal illness and didn't have long left to live, it was good to see one of the officers arresting him having a little bit of compassion towards the suspect, I wish they could've just cut the suspect loose due to his health condition, I do hope he got off lightly.

I also wish on another drug sting episode from Riviera Beach, Florida (Season 11) where a 30 something woman didn't get arrested just for purchasing a dimebag of weed from an undercover police officer during a drug sting, she seemed like a decent woman who likes to smoke a little weed every now and then, she also had 3 children at home.

reply

I also wish the police didn't arrest a guy for heroin possession in King County, WA (Season 21), the suspect was totally freaking out and panicking over him getting arrested and going back to prison because he was on probation, the suspect was also shaking.

I also feel what this criminal really needed was drug treatment, not jail

reply

That was one of the saddest segment I've seen. I felt very sad for the suspect when he broke down crying, knowing that he was going back to prison, with no choice or say in the matter. I agree that he should have gotten treatment.

reply

I agree with you that it was a very sad segment to watch and had a hard time watching it, I can tell the suspect was feeling scared about him going back to prison, I know if I were that officer I would've pretended to act like the drugs weren't there so I can release him with a ticket and follow him home so he won't get pulled over by another police officer, I would have preferred seeing him get help instead of him going back to prison, I do hope he has gotten the help he needs while being locked up.

I don't think people should be locked up in prison for a small quantity of drugs.

reply

I have a hard time watching it too. He seemed very nervous and scared the whole time. I too hope he got help.

He didn't deserve to be locked up, in my opinion.

reply

While it was hard watching him get arrested I thought this officer was professional & respectful in dealing with the situation and showed a little bit of compassion towards the suspect

reply

I liked the officer too. He seemed really cool dealing with the suspect and also liked that he showed some compassion.

reply

I can't believe there are some people on YouTube who are commenting on what a jerk Officer Todd Miller was, to me he was just only doing his job and did his best to be kind and respectful while dealing with the suspect, I'm sure it was a very difficult situation for Officer Miller to be in.

reply

I saw someone put a comment saying Miller ruined his life by arresting him. I didn't have a problem with him at all. He really wanted him to get clean. Never did Miller raise his voice once.

reply

I have a lot of respect for officers who are able to keep their cool at all times while dealing with the suspects, I don't think Miller deserves all the flack people post about him, the suspect made the choice to use drugs and that's why he got himself in that situation.

reply

I agree that it was the suspect's decision to use drugs and probably wouldn't have gone to jail if he didn't use.

reply

Another person who I wish didn't get arrested was the one from Martin County, FL (Season 18, Episode 36) where a young long haired male in his 20's gets arrested for having like an ounce of marijuana in his possession, since he was taking a couple intoxicated suspects home I felt he deserved to get off with a ticket instead, plus the suspect was also being cooperative as well.

reply

I haven't seen that one is a while but that has to be tough over a small amount of drugs and the fact he was cooperative.

reply

It appeared to be about $300 worth of marijuana (anything over 20 grams is a felony in Florida), I felt he deserved to get off, plus he at least prevented a couple drunks from getting behind the wheel which makes me feel he's not a bad person.

reply

It's a small amount compared to a big time dealer in my opinion. I also give him credit for being a designated driver.

reply

Another criminal who I was didn't get arrested was the one where a young woman who was only 18 that got arrested for having a decent quantity of marijuana (enough to be a felony), she seemed like a really nice, mild mannered lady and it was hard seeing her facing a felony conviction at a very young age, this was in Springfield, Missouri (Season 24).

reply

Agreed on this. I did like the cop in this episode as he was very calm in the segment.

reply

I did like how calm and respectful he was dealing with the young lady, while I didn't enjoy seeing her get arrested I understood he had a job to do but I do applaud him for being calm, polite and respectful towards the suspects in this episode.
