Loved both films, but DALD somewhat better because I felt that it hit on a wider range of teenage drama issues. It also had some poignant momemnts, especially near the end when Joel has the gun and Bobby/Coleman is making the pretty powerful speech about being teenagers, living on borrowed time and throwing it all away on meaningless things. The way Dumas and his buds and Dinger and Joel's other friend all stood there listening to him was pretty cool and then Joel turns the gun to Bobby, Bobby talks him out of it and Joel empties the gun chamber of the bullets in front of Dumas, while Dumas breathes as though he saw his life flash before his eyes. That was powerful *beep* and scenes like that made the movie for me and that's why I put it over LTD. The music they used throughout was great also.
