No way! Honestly, I know I'm gonna be flamed for this but I think Part 2 is the worst in the series :/ I just couldnt get into it. Jason Goes to Hell is probably second worst.
sharei personally thought Jason Goes to Hell was a lot better. Original plot, well acted, and not lamely written and hurried like this production.

And the remake's horrible. It's pretty much a Texas Chainsaw Massacre sequel and there's no Friday the 13th music which just annoys me to no end. Awful film. Sadly it halted the series too :(. Ugh!
The remake was decent, I didn't mind that it took a few cues from TCM, yeah I missed the music, but that's just a minor thing for me, i'll definitely watch the remake over part 4.

Part 7 and 8 are both underrated. People like 6 more then both but I think 7 and 8 are better.
The first 5 are my favorites though :). Jason Goes To Hell isn't that bad and neither is Jason X. They are what they are that's all .
Haha! I never thought someone else would think the Part 2 was the worst too. For me it was dull and Jason wasn't as interesting he would soon prove to be in the later sequels.

If the director was able to use his original script, and had better actors for Rennie and Sean, who knows how good this movie could've been. I'm not looking for great acting in a Friday the 13th movie, but the two main actors in this one are so blank.
