What are your expectations from Silver in season 4?

The possibilities are endless. Hope the writers do the character justice.

reply

Joking aside, do you think Thomas Ian Griffith would look right playing a near 70 years old man?
As for expectations, I would think he would be the same as he was in KK3.

reply

I expect he's going to send help and not necessarily appear since Thomas Ian Griffith has declined to reprise the role citing his retirement. Not that I blame him, he hasn't been in front of a camera in almost 15 years. It would probably take a lot of money to bring him back. Do Netflix series have that much of a budget?

reply

If he sends Dennis, Barnes and Snake it will be like an episode of Last of the Summer Wine.

reply

I think that's even less likely. I posted this in another thread. If this were real then Barnes has more reason to hate Kreese and Silver than Daniel does. He lost his interest in the dojos when he lost the match and they probably just got rid of him. The two stooges could be possible since they were only flunkies of Silver with no real allegiance to Barnes.

reply

I'd like to see him send Dutch. That would be a shocker.

reply

Oh wow, DUCTH! That's right!

Where the heck has THAT guy been??

reply

According to Bobby, prison.

reply

Think Griffith is misdirecting the audience to make Silver’s return a surprise.

reply

Possibly

John Kreese calls his old war buddy at the end of season 3 for help. All he says is " Hey it's been a long time " without ever revealing who he is talking to. That's pretty much the hint Terry Silver will be back. If not then some other old war buddy? That would be kinda lame

reply

To be fair, he definitely didn't look the 27ish he was in karate kid 3. He looks like 40. Maybe he looks more his age now, but back then he definitely looked a lot older than he was.

I have a feeling that Silver will only be around for season four. Thomas Ian Griffith is pretty much retired from acting and doesn't seem like he wants to do much anymore. I have a theory that silver will be brought in only to be killed off after a season. And then season 5 will be "Who killed Terry Silver?"

Just like all other fan speculations, take this with a grain of salt. And also take comfort in the fact that I'm usually wrong. But at least I'm being honest about it.

reply

The only thing they have confirmed is that they haven't confirmed if Silver is coming back. A few months before the third season Griffith said he isn't returning. Last I heard he hasn't said otherwise. The rest has all been speculation.

On the flip side, he has been putting himself in the public eye more recently. So who knows.

reply

They want it to be a surprise. It’s going to be epic. Wish I could see the look of terror on WearsAlan’s face when he steps out of his Rolls Royce.

reply

Why would there be terror on MY face?
Wish I could see the look on your face(both of them) when Terry Silver gets his comeuppance .....AGAIN!

reply

Well now it's confirmed.

Was there ever any doubt?

Cobra Kai brings on Karate Kid III's Terry Silver

Thomas Ian Griffith will reprise his role as Daniel LaRusso's antagonist from the 1989 movie sequel. “They’ve always had that in the crosshairs: when to bring Terry Silver back and in what capacity," says Ralph Macchio. "And how he plays in regard to the Kreese character, the Johnny Lawrence character, the LaRusso character. It’s another wrench in our karate soap opera.”
