I wish we would've gotten to see Buzz's reaction to Old Man Marley once Kevin knew what kind of person Marley really is.

shareWe should have had a scene where Buzz is looking out his window and sees old man Marley shoveling snow but then Kevin walks up to Marley and is talking to him. Buzz watches on with a puzzled look, then kevin and old man Marley look up at buzz with that scary face from the beginning as Kevin points his finger at the window. Buzz reacts in horror, quickly pulling his curtains closed again.

Credits roll.
This would take the steam out of Buzz yelling KEVIN! for finding his room is wrecked xD but its fun to consider
Except the movie isn’t about Buzz, it’s about Kevin so giving Buzz the big emotional revelation would have been stupid.
shareEasy fix, after Buzz pulls the curtains closed the final frame is focused on Kevin smiling big like the grinch.
It would be funny for Kevin to scare the crap outta Buzz for tormenting him so much.
I use to think Buzz was just making all that serial killer stuff up to frighten Kevin, however old man Marley himself told Kevin in the Cathedral "Theres a lot of stories about me going around, but none of its true". Which means Buzz may actually believe what he told Kevin.
The scene is perfect the way it is, it is supposed to be a dramatic scene and it sounds like you are trying to ruin it with dumb and pointless attempts at humor. Kevin didn’t need Buzz’s approval of Marley, he knew that the guy was a good guy and he knew that he was able to reunite with his family, that was all that was needed.
shareAnd then Kevin brings Marley over to the house and introduces him to everyone, including Buzz, who reluctantly meets Marley, shaking his cold hand but seeing and feeling the warmth in his heart. Now that’s an ending.

shareI always thought that too, but old man Marley himself told Kevin "Theres many stories about me around, none of them are true". So it adds a bit of wonder if Buzz actually heard some story and added to it, or actually believed it. Either way Buzz is a jerk, and Marley is pretty handy with a shovel.
