When does Burt learn of Walter’s death?

They never inform him over the radio and he doesn’t ask about him during the pick up. At what point does he realize his good friend didn’t make it?

Obviously, it happened offscreen. Screen time didn't cover every second of the action.

wait, doesn't he ask about that when they're getting picked up by the bulldozer? something like:

burt: where's walter?
earl: he didn't make it
burt: those bastards!
