Better Movies along the Same Line

Die Hard, of course.

For me "Into the Night" is much more fun, has more danger, a likable, identifiable protag (Jeff Goldblum), non-Mary-Jane femme fatale (Michelle Pfeiffer), strong villain and henches, a good buddy (Dan Aykroyd) and a lovable mentor (Richard Farnsworth), lots of cool cameos (including a very dangerous David Bowie) and even includes Bruce McGill in a much more interesting role.

I like that movie too.

Die Hard is a much more isolated movie than TLBS. I would say Die Hard With A Vengeance is kinda similar though, but I wouldn't call it better.

Into The Night was okay, but it wasn't TLBS.

The Glimmer Man' (1996)

Big-budget, mis-matched cops, great fights, snappy dialogue, another Wayans....plus Seagal.

Win-Win.
