A mixed bag indeed, this movie. A lot of lines that made me LOL, and the way the villain frowns at Drebin's lines is hilarious.
However, there are bad moments, too. A birthmark in the shape of Whistler's Mother, and Drebin believes it's a fake? Yeah, right(!)

The joke is supposed to be over the top. Plus it references the first Naked Gun movie where he [spoiler alert] wipes off Mikhail Gorbachev's birthmark. [spoiler alert]
So, reusing ideas. Shows they're already scraping the bottom of the barrel.
You just don't get jokes do you?
shareThe same people who made Airplane! made this, right? That movie was brilliant, the first Naked Gun (and Police Squad! in fact) are awesome, but they lost steam very quickly, with the only memorable moment of Naked Gun 33.333 recurring being a mass facepalm scene at some awards ceremony, used as a major Internet meme now.
Cringed? This movie is absolutely hilarious.
