A time when film was free from virtue signaling, wokeness. race, evil whites? A time when you saw the person and not their genetic makeup? A time when whites wasn’t embarrassed to be white.

Yes. They were making great strides to show that we could ALL get along. And then along comes scumbags with divisive agendas and targeting young, impressionable people who are easily swayed into violence and "racial issues" blown all out of proportion.
