Love this movie but…

At this point I can no longer watch it as it fills me with a bittersweet sense of nostalgia and loss. Watching Dazed in my 20s was great and it reminded me of hanging out with my buddies in high school and the dumb things we did - and the parties. I could watch it and smile and laugh but when I hit 30 or so this movie started hitting me in a different way .. now I’m hit with a strong sense of loss and a time that will never be again - the friend circles and things that went with it - the mindset we had back then .. plus other things

Does this make sense to anyone? Anyone feel this way?

I just rewatched it and I can relate.

Absolutely. Though, I can still watch it (and I think I'm a bit older than you). I'm the same way with Everybody Wants Some!!. I watch that and think about what it was like to be that young and how my perception of the future was at that point and how now things are so much different.

Just wait and someday the scene in the movie No Country For Old Men with Tommy Lee Jones and his disabled cousin Barry Corbin will make a lot of sense and be like a life bookend to Dazed and No Country.
