Underrated Score

I absolutely love the score for this movie and I know its theme does appear from time to time in trailers and what not. Does anyone else really love the score to this movie?

this score definitely comes to mind when i think if underrated scores. the others are the scores for ladyhawke and saving private ryan.

reply

why do you call the soundtrack a 'score'? makes no sense.

reply

Because a score is diffrent than a soundtrack. A soundtrack would have music or songs which were used in the film or inspired by the film, but may not be soley produced for it. A score means it's something that was completley made for the film. The soundtrack CD to Terminator 3 for example is different than the one for The Terminator Score CD because that CD is solely music that was made for the film.

The score is really beautiful and befitting for a film like this.

Great score. I remember having tears in my eyes watching this movie as a kid.

It's only as underrated as the movie, which was not popular as Bruce was not for such a long time, til his climax.

It's amazing, and i love it. No other words :).

I'm a little torn on the issue. The music is very grand and powerful, but they throw it in your face so often, it kind of loses it's meaning by the end of the movie.

I honestly think the score really helped sell the Forrest Gump trailer to the masses.
