Massive plot hole.
Dinosaurs don't exist in present time. Fire the writer!
shareAre you smoking those funny cigarettes again? 😲
Are you saying dinosaurs can exist?
shareHow do you say they can't exist? Is the claim based simply on "there are no dinosaurs today?" or is it "dinosaurs could not physically exist in today's environment?" The first is definitely not a plot hole. The latter likely is not, but I would want to hear your evidence first.
thats a not a plot hole thats an opinion
shareIt's an opinion that dinosaurs don't exist in present time?
shareIt isn't a plot hole because it does not violate the universe of the movie. In this film they establish they can create dinosaurs using DNA found in mosquitoes embedded in Amber. Whether that is possible in real life (and it is very unlikely) isn't relevant. The only thing that matters is what the film establishes.
This is the same reason that super powers are not plot holes in super hero movies. Or why faster-than-light travel isn't a plot hole in a sf film. Or why dragons aren't a plot hole in fantasy films.
A plot hole is a contradiction in the internal structure of the film, not a violation of real world politics, science, or history.
I will try and remember this so I don't misuse the term plot hole in future posts
shareThats a great observation on your part and I agree. Its a massive plot hole
shareDinosaurs never existed since the world is only 6000 years old.
shareThen why does the tagline say, "An Adventure 65 Million Years in the Making"? You calling them liars?
shareIt's obviously a hyperbole for marketing purposes. The movie was just about a bunch of nerds and some random kids running around in a poorly managed zoo, that's hardly aN AdVeNtUrE!
