Differences Between the Theatrical Version & the Director's Cut?

For those who have seen both, can anyone tell me the differences between the theatrical version & the director's cut? I love this movie but HATE when studios only release the director's cuts on blu ray (they should include both versions, but I digress). If there aren't too many differences, I'll go ahead & buy the blu ray the same way I did with the Menace II Society director's cut.

I have mostly seen the director's cut. I have seen parts of the theatrical cut on TV and the only difference I have noticed myself is that in the theatrical cut, the mafioso shoots the cop. In the director's cut, Alabama shoots the cop.

All I need is one mic...

I wonder what the legal requirement was to have the gangster be the one who shoots the cop. For instance, in some parts of Asia, there is a law which states that a character can't break the law without experiencing some kind of comeuppance.

that happened in Hollywood in the Hays code era

I think the director's cut introduced Drexl earlier in the film, the scene with Samuel L Jackson. Introduction of this Drexl character worked better when Clarence meets him. It was clear from the start that this Drexl dude is a rotten apple, you didn't need the prior scene with him playing with his shot gun. Otherwise the dc worked better.

It didn’t, theatrical just trimmed the graphic violence in that scene (and many others).

The Action Is Bloodier And More Brutal In The Director’s Cut
