What would happen to Vincent if Mia had died?

When Mia overdoses from her Cocaine use and Vincent panics, what would have happened if Jimmy had either not been home to help them out or if he had refused to help and Mia had ended up dying?

Or if they had tried to save her life but she had still died anyway? Would Marcellous Wallace have been understanding or would Vincent have suffered an untimely end?

I would love to see how Jules would have handled Mia overdosing on drugs though, because he was a lot more cool and street smart and did things differently than Vincent did, he might have called The Wolf and gotten help from him.

Also Vincent could have called 911 and reported Mia's drug overdose to them and allowed them to take her and save her life, then she is released and promises not to tell Marcellous about what happened, dont know why Vincent never considered calling 911 at Jimmy's house at all.

It would have been a much different movie if Mia died. I don't think Vincent would have been killed, but he'd have been out of a job at the very least. If Jimmy had refused to help, I think he'd have been killed. The Wolf works for Marcellus, so calling him would be a mistake, as would be 911. His best option would probably have been to immediately call Marcellus, tell him everything, and ask him what he should do. But then what would the movie be without the adrenaline shot to the heart and the puzzled look on Mia's face?

Pfft!! HA!, and I suppose he wouldn't get unemployment either?

Jimmy and Winston Wolfe had nothing to do with Mia.

You can't get unemployment in cases of gross negligence, and giving Mia an overcoat full of heroin certainly counts!

Jimmy and Winston Wolfe had nothing to do with Mia.
The OP also asked about their involvement.

Vincent would have definitely died. We see no evidence that Marsellus is anything close to "understanding." This is a guy who threw another man off a roof just for giving his wife a foot rub as Jules tells Vincent. If Vincent mentions Lance's name before he dies, I think his days are also numbered.

He would have been thrown out from a four story window.

^^^^that would have been over a foot massage, this was an OD, homeboy would have been tossed over a 40 story building for that stunt, hence a grease spot.

Spoiler alert for them spoil sports out there! Y'all like spoiled milk, stop crying over it!

I agree with those that say Vincent would have been dead... and probably not in a pretty way. Marcellus was trusting Vincent with his wife for one evening, and had she died on his watch? Ooh, that would have been curtains for Vincent. Especially considering how she died. (See asterisk below.)

Also Vincent could have called 911 and reported Mia's drug overdose to them and allowed them to take her and save her life, then she is released and promises not to tell Marcellous about what happened, dont know why Vincent never considered calling 911 at Jimmy's house at all.

He definitely couldn't call 911... in his mind anyway. *She OD'd on his heroin, not coke. (She mistakenly thought it was coke. That's why she railed a bunch and OD'd.) Vince definitely wanted to deal with it without outsiders because Marcellus was coming back in a day, and 911 and the hospital would have made it too messy.

The real question might be rather Marsellus would have killed Vincent for his wife almost dying.

reply

Good question too. I think if she had been alive and able to speak, but Marcellus returned knowing Mia OD'd on Vincent's watch, Mia would have smoothed things over as well as possible for Vincent's sake. Like she said before her "old vaudeville joke," she'd be in more trouble than Vincent. Even if that isn't true, I see Marcellus having just enough restraint to spare Vincent his life if Mia lived and was ok (while he would be angry with her), and I'd think then Vincent would have to just get out of town, ala Butch. He'd live, but he better leave LA. Just my guess.

And if Mia lived but spent anytime in a coma after Marcellus returned? Vincent would be toast I think. Even if Mia came out of it hours later, I don't think Marcellus would have had any patience with Vincent if he returned to see Mia unconscious.

reply

That wasn't Jimmy, that was Lance who helped him out. If she had died, Vincent would've been killed much sooner by Marcellus, of course.
As for Jules not being there, he had already resigned and was no longer working with Vincent.

reply

I'm not a doctor and don't play one on TV, but wouldn't Mia have a hell of a bruise on her chest after a giant adrenaline needle went through her breast plate? I think Marcellus, being her husband, might have noticed.

reply

Fairly sure calling 911 to attend to a drug dealers property (and not just a bit of weed here and there, a major heroin dealer) would have been a very bad idea, especially if Lance was working for Marcellus. If that had happened, both Vince and Lance would probably have been killed even if Mia lived.

reply

Vincent has known Marsellus for years and has already made reference to how protective he is over his wife.

If Vincent says he would have been a grease spot had Mia died, I think he'd know what he was talking about.
