Billy's argument about video games with the kid

I can't decide who's in the right there. One way to look at it is Billy politely expressed his opinion, and the kid responded rudely. Another way to look at it is although the kid got passionate, he still just expressed his opinion, and Billy responded with a personal attack.

I thought it was the kid who was ruder by telling Billy that "Donkey Kong" sucked, if I was the kid I would be like "that's great you like "Donkey Kong, it's not one of my favorite games".

I do not know if he was referring to the original Donkey Kong or Donkey Kong Country.

I always thought he meant the old donkey Kong because he was a generation older and the game would’ve sucked from your average 90’s 3rd grader perspective.
