My thoughts after rewatching this after so many years.

This was my first rewatch and this time the final twist was not as great as I remembered it to be. It’s still good though. Another thing is, I found the jump scares less annoying then I remembered them to be. So that was a positive change. The way the killer just runs and trip over his victims is funny, all the horror movies connection are fun and it makes for a classic in the genre. 7/10

Ofcourse the twist has less of an impact on a rewatch so many years later, especially considering the huge amount of twist movies since then. It's still a great twist, though, nobody expected it at the time. It's definitely a classic and one of my favourite movies. I rate it much higher than a 7.

Of course I didn't expect the twist to catch me off-guard again. its just that from what i remembered, there was no way to see it coming. But now that I saw it again, it was a bit more predictable then I remembered.

Were pretty much on the same page, except I dropped it from a 8 to a 7.

The benefit of hindsight. I dare say that since you've already seen it you're more susceptible to picking up on the clues that were given and putting two and two together.

I think I twist was pretty good. The idea that there was two killers was pretty ground breaking at the time. I don't recall another movie like this doing that, without tipping off the audience sooner.

Also the faking of Billy's death, as well as the Billy's motives were pretty good twist that weren't predictable.

never gotten the hype. it was solid, but compared to behind the mask, student bodies, saturday the 14th, cabin in the woods, cry_wolf, slither, yes even the attack of the killer tomatoes franchise it falls short. 1-3 were ok, but 4 was an insult.
