Lou Diamond Phillips was so *beep* hilarious

Did anybody else think so?

Completely agree. It was a close one between him and the guy who jerked off a lot. The bit at the start where he runs about shooting everyone after they're dead and also the line about him sailing his boat and the dolphins made me lol.

The guy who runs the video store should also get an honourable mention.

I know he I remember seeing him in this and thinking wow he can do comedy and action aswell, he's one of my favourite actors.

right after Melvin gives up his bonus, the way he says, "just to show, how much love I got for you"

all the hand movements and kisses he does is F'n hilarious.

I also love the way he unnecessarily jumps over the dead mob boss and shoots him

reply

When he gets puked on, I just love the way he says "Ewwwwww, gross, you nasty M F!!!".

Another favorite is when he "finds out" Melvin Smiley was behind the kidnapping, and he taps his fist to his chest, saying "the humanity? the betrayal?".

this film is waaaaay underrated.

" Look, there's two women fuc*ing a polar bear!" - Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas 1998

"F__UCK A__SS NO!"

Right when Melvin talks about asking him for money. Love that line.

Everybody likes the Shen.

lol I think about Lou Diamond Phillips in this movie almost everyday and then start laughing all of a sudden

I like how he was doing the signs of the cross with his hand while hoping like crazy that that idiot wouldn't call with the trace buster. He kept whispering to himself "Muthafuc_ka don't you call, muthafuc_ka don't you call" (while doing the signs of the cross) lmao

He kinda reminded me of Gary Oldman's role as the black-wannabe pimp in "True Romance (1993)"

cisco bursts into the video store

"i'mma finish what i started motha fu_cka!"

reply

"Melvin? Melvin Smiley?!... Oh!... The humanity!... The betrayal!"

"Psychos do not explode when sunlight hits them! I don't give a **** how crazy they are!"

reply

I agree, I laughed everytime he was on, he is so underrated as an actor! I thought he stole this film from Wahlberg tbh.

reply

He liked working on this movie because he previously wasn't given the opportunity to do a full-on comedy.
