one of the worst movies ever

This movie is terrible--the acting sucked, the story sucked, the pseudo Christian mythology sucked; I didn't enjoy one thing about this peice of trash. Just another rot job.

Yes, really one of the worst.

The only good thing about most Arny films prior to this one was that they were over-the-top, not taking themselves seriously, and Arny had lots of memorable one-liners. This movie is just total garbage because it tried to be too serious and even throw *beep* moral lessons in our face. It was not cool, not funny, not in the least entertaining. I think there was 1 decent shot of the devil raping a girl or something, and other than that shot the whole movie made me feel sick from watching such crap. I had to watch it because Arny was in it but I really regret that and stopped short of his last 3 films now.

It's far from a masterpiece, but I thought it was ok. It was fairly entertaining at least. I like the darkness of the movie, there's good action and Arnold had his funny moments. However, Arnold's performance was even worse than usual--especially in the real dramatic and authoritative parts. However, I thought Gabriel Byrne was really, really good as the devil. I think he really saved it from being a possible stinker.

Yeah, I thought the movie was OK. Solid 7 or so. Arnold is always entertaining, and the movie wasn't boring or too insulting to my intelligence. The worst part was the obligatory Hollywoodish *beep* but even that can sorta be justified because of the movie's tie with the christian mythology.

I'd say it's not anywhere near worst movie ever material, check my ratings for votes of 1 and 2 for those... this was alright, pretty bad, but okay... I'd say it deserves a 6.

I gave it a "9" rating. Schwartzenegger's performance was better in this than 3/4s of his other movies. I think the thing critics dont like about this film was the supernatural element.

After a long hard day of cleaning and laundry, I put on the TV which I rarely ever do, and of course nothing is on worth watching. This movie was on, and it just terrible in almost every way possible. If I didn't have kids, I would get rid of cable for airing this *beep*

It looked to me like the movie tried to achieve things that it just couldn't, and so it fell flat. That's the risk with certain types of "high concept' material, it's hit-or-miss, especially if it takes itself seriously, like Cat Woman.

Some failures of this type might work better as some kind of comedy. This might have worked as either a complete farce or a black comedy. But even that doesn't always work out, as in Little Nicky. However I found that LN worked better than this, for me anyway.

This film was ok, I dunno why its got such a low score. Then again I find pretty much any Arnie film entertaining, and he's been in worse then this.

Yes, exactly. Jingle Bells, anyone?

OP you obviously haven't seen Sharktopuss!!

~ Looking forward to most this year (2012) - Lincoln - Django Unchained - Lawless - Looper ~

It's considered terrible because the premise of Arnie fighting the devil was ridiculous, alot of hybrid genres like supernatural slash action film have alot of action but not alot of logic.

This film was made at the end of Arnie's hayday so it was a end of days.
