why do so many people dislike Donna?

I personally thought she was phenomenal. Total package, looks, smarts, talents, gorgeous red hair. Why do you guys not like her?

I came on this board and was shocked by all the Donna hate. She is by far my favorite... she's so cool and badass. She's smart and hot. I love her voice. She's not fake. She's so funny and charismatic. She good at sports and can totally kick your ass. And she's loyal and trustworthy. Can't find a thing to dislike about her.

I mostly dislike her around Eric, she was usually fine around the other characters. But when she was with Eric it felt like she was always getting angry at him over something and he has to apologize or work to get back on her good side again. Eric was always the one in the wrong. So many episodes had this storyline that it was ridiculous.

When your mind breaks the spirit of your soul.

I agree with this!

Plus she was the weakest of all the actors and her character wasn't really that funny.

I don't think it's just guys, but I think the 2 main reasons are that (1) she was noticeably the weakest actor and least funny character of the Main 6, and (2) the way she distanced herself from Eric in late Season 3 leading to him breaking things off because she wasn't as committed as he was, then started dating Casey Kelso in Season 4, only to expect Eric to take her back, making him feel like her second choice.

Personally, I thought that Prepon was good enough not to take me out of the show, but she definitely broke character a bit much for my taste. The #2 reason is more my issue, because it was kind of hard to believe that Donna in the blink of an eye realized that she and Eric were meant to be together after a full season plus of treating him like crap.

Of all the cast, Laura Prepon seems least like a teenager. She seems a little too old for the part. Not that she isn't gorgeous.

She is the worst part of the show if you ask me. She's not terrible but I've never liked her or her manly voice. The red hair was a factor but it got even worse when she dyed her hair blonde.

Seconded!

She’s definitely the least funny of the main group. Eric was the smartass, Hyde the rebel, fez the awkward one, Kelso the idiot, Jackie the materialistic one. Donna just didn’t really have anything which made her funny. She also was hard on Eric quite a bit. Her funniest bits were definitely when she’d rag on Kelso. I also don’t think she was as ‘hot’ as the show made her out to be. She’s not bad looking but she’s a rather masculine girl (which is weird because Eric is kind of a girly man). It might have worked out better if she ended up with Hyde (they toyed with that idea early on but it never really picked up). Donna/Randy was painful to watch and not humorous in the least.

Yeah the show acting as if she was so hot is partially what makes me not like her and maybe thats why others don't either, its literally a laugh riot that they expect us to just go along with it because they mention her hotness all the time. Kelso banged so many truly hot girls on the show yet they have him acting like she is the hottest thing on the planet on several occasions. I wonder if anyone who likes her character can come up with a reason besides "shes a strong independent woman" lawlz

I don't like feminist who blame men for everything and pretend they are the bad guy and refuse to apologize when they are wrong. Eric did some stupid sh-- to be sure and would piss any girlfriend off but the show built her up too much and she wasn't all that.

1. BVS 2. TWS 3. Avengers

I don't dislike her but I like her the least of the group with the exception of Fez. Her looks don't make me like her more because I never thought she was that hot and I hated the blond hair.
