why do so many people dislike Donna?

I personally thought she was phenomenal. Total package, looks, smarts, talents, gorgeous red hair. Why do you guys not like her?

i hate donna because she was a bad girlfriend to eric, treated him like an idiot, (sometimes without motive), then she despised him with all the ring thing and during the entire 4th season she broke some ex-s codes like talking to others about their relationship failure or bullying in front of his friends. i know it's just a tv show but i've known some girls in real life who also act like b*tches after relation ends and its just wrong. i dont think that laura prepon is a bad actress btw its just the character was written by some nazi feminist before it was cool

Sometimes she acts and talks like a feminist and what's degrading to women, but then loves being 'Hot Donna' and having guys worship her. She's a complete hypocrite. I agree with another poster who said she is always getting angry at Eric about something and he has to work to be with her. She also joined in with the rest of the cast's jokes about Donna being too good for Eric, especially when they were broken up and in the later seasons, but really seemed to think she was too good for him. Which really pissed me off, because when they were alone, she was fine, but she was okay in front of the gang in acting like she was too good for him? Good riddance to her.

I always felt that Donna thought too highly of herself. She was always so mad at Eric, sometimes for things so small. She had this attitude that she was too good for him. If she really was too god for him, why was she with him then? Yes, she was pretty, and she was smart, but she really wasn't very nice either. And she thought she was better than Jackie too. She would always act self righteous with her, and tell her how horrible of a person she was, but at least Jackie knew that she was mean. Donna was just as mean, especially to Michael and Eric.

I agree on all of this. I know, not adding much haha. But it's a relief to come here and see I wasn't the only one who disliked Donna, and for similar reasons.
